  • Why build an "EDU"?
With our proprietary building platform, not only are our buildings tested to be “Bullet Proof (Tested by the Military up to a 50 Caliber)”, “Non-Combustible”, “Hurricane Resistant”, “Termite Proof”, “Earthquake Resistant” and have a “Lifetime Warranty on the Structure”, but we can build our units in your backyard FASTER than Most Modular Homes are built/shipped/and set onsite. Our EDUs Qualify for LEED PLATINUM CERTIFICATION. LEED certified buildings save money, improve efficiency, lower carbon emissions, and create healthier places for people. They are a critical part of addressing climate change and meeting ESG goals, enhancing resilience, and supporting more equitable communities. To achieve LEED certification, a project earns points by adhering to prerequisites and credits that address carbon, energy, water, waste, transportation, materials, health, and indoor environmental quality.

  • What floor plans are available?
We offer a Studio Office option which is also available in an ADA Compliant version, a 1 Bedroom and a 2 Bedroom option.
  • What is an ADU vs an EDU?
An ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit) is a separate, housing unit on a residential lot, permitted by the city. An “EDU” stands for “Elite Dwelling Unit” which are considered the highest in building standards with Durability, Quality and the only ADU on the Market that qualifies for “LEED PLATINUM BUILDING”. No other ADU on the market compares to an EDU.
  • How long does it take to build an EDU?
Permits generally take 3-4 months for most cities(up to 30 days in select cities). Construction takes about 1 month for site prep and running utilities to the unit, 1 month to build a unit and an additional month to finish and get final sign off with the local municipality.
  • What should I consider when purchasing an ADU/EDU?
Regardless of what anyone tells you, your backyard will need to have some demolition work and/or trenching done (also known as “Site Work”) to get any utilities needed onsite. You should consider having a budget set aside for landscaping repairs through the areas needed to run new sewer/water/electrical.
